Bio

I grew up in eastern Minnesota where I obtained my high school diploma from Mahtomedi Senior High. Upon graduation, I made my way up to Bemidji State University (BSU) where I obtained two degrees: 1) Bachelor of Science - Aquatic Biology and 2) Master of Science - Biology. I spent my time at BSU working with the Dept. of Natural Resources on Aquatic Invasive Species research as well as Shallow Lakes research. After graduating with my Bachelors Degree, I started working for the Pomme de Terre River Association in Morris, MN. It was through this organization that I learned that have a passion for education. I was fortunate to travel throughout the watershed sharing information on water quality and aquatic species. I currently work for the Grant Soil and Water Conservation District, but this career move has not stopped my education interests. That is why I am currently creating a non-profit "Babbling Biology" that assists k-12 schools, colleges, lake associations, etc. with science education. I would also like to mention that our assistance is not limited to aquatic/environmental issues. We will assist with all aspects of science and more importantly assisting others understand what science is and how the scientific method works.
