High Tech Kids works hard within Minnesota to develop an interest and ability in kids to pursue STEM education and careers. Every year, over 900 volunteers reach children at an age when they make decisions (grades 3 – 9) that impact and enable these future citizen to be technologically literate.

FIRST Tech Challenge Referees role is to: 

– Observe matches, “call” rule infractions, determine penalties

– Monitor and promote safe practices and play on and around the field. 

– Complete and submit scoring sheets after each match to the scoring table

The tournaments at this location will run on both Saturday and Sunday, 7:30am-5:30pm each day. You are welcome to indicate which day you prefer to volunteer on. 

This role does require additional online training, provided by High Tech Kids once you have submitted a background check.
