Are you looking for a fun curriculum that will keep your students engaged while allowing them to solve real-world problems?

Would you like to be apart of a national community of computer science educators?

Mobile CSP is the program for you!

Mobile CSP is a College Board-endorsed AP Computer Science Principles curriculum and professional development based on the theme of mobile computing. Developed by computer science educators, for all students and teachers, we provide an engaging introduction to computing at the high school level.

We are excited to announce our summer 2019 professional development opportunities. Regional and online training available. Visit our website (mobile-csp.org/participate) to learn more and see all of our training locations and dates.

What We Offer | Teacher Professional Development

Our professional development is tailored to meet the needs of all teachers. We offer two different formats so beginner (extended) and experienced (immersion) computer science educators can gain experience with our free and ready-to-use curriculum.

In our professional development, teachers learn to help students build real solutions to local community problems through mobile application development — products that can be released — helping students to see themselves as creators and problem solvers.

Scholarship Opportunities Available

The Mobile CSP Project, through its support from the National Science Foundation, has a limited amount of funding for scholarships for schools and teachers participating in our professional development opportunities. These scholarships are intended for teachers in school districts that cannot afford the tuition. Scholarships will cover half the cost of tuition. Learn more and apply here: mobile-csp.org/scholarships.

More Information | Our Curriculum

For the teacher:

Teachers are provided with a detailed lesson plan for each of the student lessons. Assessment materials are provided including unit quizzes, exams, and a teacher dashboard for tracking student progress on self-check exercises.

Check out our Teacher Support Curriculum materials here: https://course.mobilecsp.org/teach_mobilecsp

For the student:

A complete course that focuses on building socially useful mobile apps. Students spend half the time working with App Inventor and the other half engaged in learning computer science topics ranging from algorithms to binary numbers to computer security. Study materials ask students to reflect on some of the big societal issues that characterize today’s computing, such as privacy, security, and social networking.
