See the Zoo in a whole new way! Thisinstitute will engage teachers in utilizing animals and the Zoo as a tool tointegrate engineering concepts into their curriculum, based on the MinnesotaState Science Standards. Sessions focus on Engineering BY Animals, EngineeringFROM Animals (biomimicry), and Engineering FOR Animals using hands onactivities, zoo staff presentations, and behind-the-scenes tours.

The Minnesota Zoo iscommitted to its mission of connecting people, animals, and the natural world to save wildlife. Through expert talks and behind the scenes experiences, see how STEM is being used by field biologists, conservationists, and zoo staff to help protect and conserve species both in the zoo and in the wild. Learn ways to engage your students in activities that help make a difference within the context of engineering for conservation.
